Teachers should Login to/Register for Canvas

1. You will need to start by adding a new course. Click on courses.
2. Next, select all courses.
3. Click on + course to continue adding a course.
4. Enter a course name and then select ‘create course’
5. Next, click on settings in the left hand navigation.
6. Select ‘Apps’ from the top nav bar and then ‘View App Configurations’
7. Next, we are going to add a new app which is going to give us access to Voxy. Click on + App
8. We need to start by selecting the correct configuration type. From the dropdown, select ‘By URL.’
9. The next step will involve the Canvas teacher to enter the shared key and secret that a Voxy admin provided. Complete all fields including the name (we recommend Voxy as this will be the app name that appears in the course), shared key, shared secret and the config url: https://app.voxy.com/lti/config/

1. Once you have entered all information, refresh Canvas and you will see Voxy appear in the left nav bar.

Voxy should be a new course available in Courses. Click on Voxy to access the app. Please note, you may be required to enter a password. You can use the same password as your Canvas account. You will need to publish your course to make it available to students to find Voxy. To do this, select ‘publish’ from the course page.
