If the user already created a Fathom Reads account, the user_id should match the username of their Fathom account. If the student or teacher doesn’t exist yet in our account, one will be created automatically the first time they visit our site through this interface. When the account is created this way, you should supply name and/or email if you intend to use our LMS features.
