Introducing Octopus ACE, the tool for teachers to optimize Canvas courses. Identify improvements, celebrate successes, and gamify course development. Focused on teachers, with admin views also available. Enhance teaching and boost Canvas adoption with Octopus ACE.

To start with the plugin installation, it’s necessary to have relevant consumer and shared secret keys. This can be obtained via signing up with us at Sign Up Link. Upon successful signup, you will receive both the keys. Keep these as you will need them in the following steps.

In Canvas for teachers, choose a course from the dashboard. Navigate to ‘Settings’ in the left-hand menu, then click on the ‘Apps’ tab in the top menu bar. Once in the app center, use the search bar on the right side to find the ‘Octopus ACE’ application.

Click on “Octopus ACE” tool in the Canvas apps center. Click ‘+ Add App’. Now get the keys (consumer key and shared secret key) that you obtained in the first step. Enter these into the form. Name the app ‘Octopus ACE’. Then click on ‘Add App’.

Security Information:
Application Security will be tested according to OWASP ASVS Manual Penetration Testing will be done to identify business logic vulnerabilities. A vulnerability assessment will be done to identify known vulnerabilities in the 3rd party appliances and the libraries used in the application. OWASP top 10 for Web and API will be followed to review the application.
