AverPoint Classroom promotes media literacy that prepares students for the digital age. We help teachers assess and improve each student’s media literacy over time. Our reading and writing tools integrate with social studies, ELA, and journalism classes. Teachers assign readings from websites and PDFs. AverPoint Reader measures student reading time and critical thinking interactions. Teachers also assign writing prompts based on the readings. AverPoint Writer helps students develop argumentative essays that integrate evidence. Over time, students become more conscious of their information diet, learn to critically interact with information, and gain comfort in developing their own evidence-backed ideas. Our learning journey aligns with the standards for these traditional curricula.
