Before starting plugin installation, you will need to register on the Octopus BI website to get access to the Octopus BI data analytics platform - go to https://octopusbi.com/book-a-consultation/

During the installation, you’ll be switching between your Canvas LMS instance and this Octopus BI Settings page. If you need assistance with your installation email us at: support@octopusbi.com. App installation:

In Canvas, select ‘Admin’ and then the account they would like to use. Click ‘Settings’ in the left menu and then select the ‘Apps’ tab at the top menu bar. When the app centre is open, you can search for the ‘Octopus BI’ application in the search bar on the right side. Clicking on the Octopus BI icon gives the option to add the tool to the Canvas apps centre. Click ‘+ Add App’. Visit Octopus BI settings page to find your consumer key and shared secret keys . Input these into the form. Name the app ‘Tentacle Insights’. Go to Octopus BI settings and enter your Canvas Instance URL into the URL field at the bottom of the form.
